This project documents St. George’s Eastern Orthodox Church in Regent Park through detailed architectural scanning. By creating an accurate digital record of its form, materials, and ornamental features, the work supports long-term preservation, future restoration, and public appreciation of the church’s cultural and spiritual significance..
At SiteScan Studio, we use precise 3D scanning and existing-condition documentation to help preserve historic architecture for the future. By capturing heritage façades, structural elements, and fine architectural details, we create reliable digital records that support conservation planning and future restoration work. This documentation also helps architects and developers incorporate historic elements thoughtfully into new designs rooted in accuracy and continuity.

We begin by mapping the capture area and reviewing the building, surrounding terrain, access points, and nearby obstacles. This establishes the project boundaries and identifies the façades, rooflines, and architectural details to document, helping us plan coverage and reduce gaps in the final scan.

Using the site map, we plan flight paths, capture angles, and overlapping coverage around the building. The mission is tailored to the required level of detail, with consideration for airspace requirements, weather, obstacles, and take-off and landing areas before onsite capture begins.

On site, we verify conditions, prepare the equipment, and carry out the planned capture from multiple viewpoints. We review coverage and data quality as work progresses, capturing additional detail where needed. The collected data is then prepared for processing into a detailed 3D point cloud.
We'd love to hear from you.
