FAQ: Scan-to-BIM

Answers to technical and process questions about our scan-to-BIM and deliverables.

What is scan-to-BIM?

Scan-to-BIM transforms 3D scans or point clouds into precise BIM models. We capture site data using Matterport or laser scanning, then model in Revit to your specifications.

Which formats do you provide?

We deliver Revit (.rvt), E57, XYZ, 2D plans (PDF/DWG), and Matterport tour links. Specify your required formats when requesting a quote.

How accurate are your models?

Our BIM models are based on high-resolution scans and industry standards. Typical accuracy is within 1–2 cm for architectural elements, depending on scan quality and LOD.

What is your turnaround time?

Most projects are completed within 5–10 business days, depending on project size and complexity. Timelines are confirmed after reviewing your project details.

Do you support remote sites?

Yes. We can model from client-provided scans or coordinate Matterport capture in most locations. Contact us to discuss your site requirements.
